About Minni

Miroslava and Charlene together came up with the idea of making sleepy dumplings.
There’s something so special about sleepy, calm children.
When they’ve been playing all day and are slowly winding down. You may find them quietly resting their head on a blanket or coming for sleepy hugs.
Wanting to capture this in a doll Minni was created! Minni thinks she’s just a little sleepy right, but before she knows it she’ll be deep asleep in your lap!

MIROSLAVA’S SCULPTING PROCESS:

To the right you can see Minni in the process of her being made. We put this up to show those who are curious! Sometimes it can be fun to see the process.

This is how Minni looked when Miroslava had just finished sculpting her main features. She was sculpted in paper clay which you see in the images.
On top of her clay sculptures Miroslava always sprays on layers of gray acrylic paint. This gray paint helps highlight any bumps/scratches that need to be sanded out and fixed. It also protects the dolls and seals them so they can later safely be made into molds.
Finally the grey, smooth and complete sculpt is used to make a mold. This mold will be used to make the first samples.
