the dolls’ colors & sizes

Sometimes people ask more specific questions about the dolls. For example, about their shapes, colors and their sizes compared to each other. For this reason I’ve taken some photos on these topics and put them here, hoping it helps someone! Here you will find more info on the Meadowdoll’s doll sizes, doll colors and the wig-assisters. Scroll down to see the details.

MEADOWDOLL’s SIZES COMPARed

Here you can see the dolls next to each other so you better can visualize their sizes. Sometimes people ask for photos like these because it can be hard to get a feeling for a size without being able to compare it to other dolls.

MEADOWDOLL’s DOLL COLORS

Below you see two photos with the most reoccurring colors Miroslava makes her dolls in. In the images you’ll also find the name of each color written above the dolls' head. During preorders you will see the doll-color written in the title so you know which color the doll has.

MEADOWDOLL’s WIG ASSISTERS

Below you see the rounded hair-like wig-assisters Miroslava sculpts into her newer dolls. These are there to assist you and keep whichever wig you choose snuggly in place without it sliding off.

Why wig-assisters?
Those of you who have had dolls before and played with them have probably experienced wigs popping off while playing with them/photographing them. This can be frustrating, and on smaller dolls it can be a real big struggle because their heads are so tiny. Miroslava herself has experienced wigs sliding off many times. Frustrated with this phenomena she began thinking of more permanent solutions that wouldn’t require people gluing on the wigs, adding velcro or anything else.
Eventually she figured that one of the most robust approaches was to sculpt hair-shaped, rounded “wig-hooks” into the sculpts themselves. You can see these in the image above (at the very back of the head, an on the top of the head). These serve to keep the wigs very snugly in place and the wig-assisters become invisible with a wig on.
Now you can play as much as you want without worrying about wigs popping off!
They will be added to all dolls made after January 2020. Even the old molds.
