How Meadowdolls came to be
Miroslava. the pink-haired sculptor of all Meadowdolls dolls, created Meadowdolls back in 2014. She comes from a southern town in Sweden and loves artistic expression. Early in 2011 she found the doll hobby and became entranced with making BJDs. She then dedicated years to learning the craft, to be able to build doll-bodies that were flexible and yet stable, and to sculpt faces with character and feeling. To Miroslava’s great joy after years she could do it full time. Today she spends the majority of her time on Meadowdolls, packing dolls, sculpting, managing orders, painting faceups, planning and talking to doll-lovers online. Miroslava wants to make dolls that capture diverse feelings, sizes and styles so they are like flowers in a meadow, different so everyone has a flower that suits just them right.

Miroslava and Charlene
Early into her doll-work Miroslava and Charlene Smith stumbled upon each other. Charlene Smith is from the United States and is as crazy about doll-making as Miroslava. They immediately clicked and soon began to do many projects together. Today Charlene and Miroslava work together constantly. Charlene Smiths plans events, holds competitions, makes wonderful faceups and also ships dolls! Sometimes Miroslava's daughter also helps with the doll work.
